Terms of Service

Last updated: July 28, 2026

These terms govern your use of RollCalculator.com ("the site"). By using the site you agree to them. They are written to be readable rather than exhaustive — if something here is unclear, ask us.

What the site is

RollCalculator provides free calculators for trade and industrial work — roll and reel length, tank volume and dip charts, chemical concentration and dilution, and related geometry. All calculations run in your browser. There is no account, no subscription and nothing to install. The site is funded by advertising.

Accuracy and the limits of these tools

The calculators implement standard published formulas, and each page shows the formula it uses along with its reference sources. We check our reference data against multiple independent sources before publishing it (see our methodology).

Even so, results are estimates and the tools are calculation aids, not engineering advice. Real materials vary: film and paper thickness carries tolerance, tanks differ from their nominal geometry, and density changes with temperature. You are responsible for verifying any result before acting on it. For safety-critical, structural, regulatory or commercial-settlement work, confirm the figure by measurement and, where appropriate, with a qualified engineer.

The site is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the site or reliance on its results.

Acceptable use

You may use the calculators freely, including for commercial work. You may not:

Intellectual property

Mathematical formulas and physical constants are not owned by anyone, and we make no claim to them. The text, page design, worked examples, code and compiled reference tables on this site are our own work and are protected by copyright. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link. Reproducing whole pages or the tool code requires permission.

Third-party services

The site uses Google Analytics for anonymous usage statistics and Google AdSense to serve advertising. Their handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy. Advertisements are served by Google and its partners; we do not select individual ads and do not endorse the products in them.

Changes and availability

We add, revise and occasionally retire calculators. Reference data is updated when we find a better source or an error. We may change these terms; the "last updated" date above marks the current version. The site is offered without any uptime guarantee.
